How to play
- Read the question or topic for the round.
- Think of a suitable answer and type it before time runs out.
- Each letter in an accepted answer adds a block to your tower.
- Stay above the rising lava and try to outlast your opponents.
A longer answer helps only when it matches the topic. Start by finding a valid word, then challenge yourself to think of a longer one.
Questions, word towers and rising lava
Word or Lava asks you to recall a word that fits a topic. You type your own answer rather than rearranging a fixed set of letters. Longer accepted answers give your hero more blocks and more height above the lava.
Build an island between matches
Build and decorate a floating island, paint your voxel hero and choose character looks and emotes. Collect album cards, complete quests and unlock rewards.

Do I need to install the game?
You can launch the browser version on this website without installing it. An Android app is also available on Google Play.
Which languages are supported?
Questions are available in English and Russian.
Who joins online matches?
Other players can join matches. Bots fill empty places when there are not enough players.
Can I play offline?
The Android app includes offline play with separate local progress. Online matches require an internet connection.
Are there ads or purchases?
The game includes advertising and optional purchases. Paid items do not strengthen your character in a competitive match.
